We spend a great deal of time and energy creating a weekend worship experience for people like you. It’s there where we believe that people far from God can have a fresh encounter with Jesus each weekend, through preaching, worship, and creativity.
Many people don’t know where to begin when visiting a church for the first time. Often it can feel overwhelming and we want to make it as simple as possible for you. Check out the links below for all the information you need.
LOVE GOD, LOVE OTHERS, CREATE FOLLOWERS
LOVE GOD, LOVE OTHERS, CREATE FOLLOWERS
Faith Mountain's mission comes directly from the teachings of Jesus Christ as found in "The Greatest Commandment" and "The Great Commission".
Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
In short, we believe that we exist to:
"Love God with all that you are...
Love Others like they are family...
Create Followers of God's Son."
Faith Mountain holds to a biblical, orthodox Christian faith as reflected in this basic statement of beliefs.
About the Bible: We believe that the Bible is fully inspired by God, that it is entirely trustworthy and is our guide for faith and life.
About God: We believe that God is the loving Creator of all that exists, both seen and unseen. God is eternal and completely good, knowing all things, having all power and majesty. God exists eternally as the Trinity, one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
About Jesus: We believe that God expressed himself in human form through his Son, Jesus Christ who was both fully God and fully man. Jesus was born of a virgin and lived a perfect and sinless life. We believe Jesus was crucified for the sins of us all, that he rose again from the dead and ascended into heaven.
About the Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit was sent from God to live within all who believe in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit teaches, comforts, and empowers us, giving each follower of Jesus diverse gifts for serving others. The Holy Spirit transforms believers from the inside out and allows them to develop a more holy life and Christ-like character.
About Salvation: We believe that each human being was created in the image of God with great dignity and value. All people were created to live in a vibrant loving relationship with God. However, since we all fail to live by God's perfect moral standards, and instead rebel against Him through our sin, we experience the tragic consequences of separation from God, separation that leads to eternal death. But God's love for humanity is so great that he sent his Son Jesus to die on the cross, pay the penalty of our sin and restore our relationship with him. We receive the free gift of God's grace and forgiveness by turning our hearts and minds away from sin in repentance, and by placing our faith in Jesus Christ as our Redeemer and Lord.
About the Church: We believe that the universal church is made of all people in the world who put their faith in Jesus and are empowered by God's Holy Spirit to follow the mission of Jesus here on earth. The universal church is one global community, but has smaller, local expressions, such as Faith Mountain. Each local church has a unique personality and there is great beauty in that diversity. While the church does exist to build up believers, it also exists as a community of worshippers who are here to serve others, and to share the love and hope of Jesus with the entire human race.
About the End times: We approach the details of the end times with great mystery and wonder. However, we believe that one day Jesus will visibly return and complete his victory over evil. We believe that heaven and hell actually exist and that each person will experience bodily resurrection and final judgment. Those forgiven through Christ will enjoy eternal life with God and those who turned from God's grace will be forever separate from Him.
